Big News for Couponers at Walmart!!

Walmart Just updated their coupon policy! I guess they finally realized that more and more people are using coupons to try to save money, and they were losing busines to competitors who are more "coupon friendly"
   Here's the highlights....
Walmart accepts the following types of coupons
Competitors' coupons that feature a specific item for a specified price for example, $2.99   ( this one is not very clear but I'll check it out and update later) 

Checkout coupons (also called "Catalinas") that are printed at our competitors' registers, have "Manufacturer Coupon" with specific requirements printed on them, a valid remit address for the manufacturer, valid expiration date, and a scannable bar code.   I Love this!! 

and the most awesome change of all...
The following are guidelines and limitations:
Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.

I know I'll be trying this out and I'll update you on how it works out !

Why I get Multiple papers each week.. It pays!

Here is an example why buying Multiple papers (or getting them from neighbors and friends pays off) I got all this for only $5.65...Walgreen's has a sale this week on the Motrin $3 each if you buy two you get $3 in register rewards ( a coupon you can use on anything in the store..There was a coupon for $6 off 2 in the 1/9 smart source (ss)insert So I got the Motrin for free and they gave me $3 rr for every two! I made $36 to take the items out of the store! Vicks were .99 cents and there was a coupon for $1 and another coupon that gave me free tissues when I buy a Vicks product so I got both for free! Hence the name of my blog Coupons 4 a Cause.. I will donate a lot of these items to charity. That is my Cause... My Mission.. to save and to Share!

The Secret of Coupons...what the tv shows don't tell you!!

You've seen the TV shows that show people getting hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for pennies on the dollar.. what they don't tell you is the coupons you get in this Sundays paper may save you money this week but if you wait a few weeks that item may go on sale to save you even more. If you hang on to your inserts and wait for the sales like Kroger mega sale or Randall's frozen food sale (every store has their own big sale) that's when you can get the stuff for super cheap or free! I buy Multiple papers and have friends who give me their coupon inserts so I can stock up on what's on sale, so I will never pay full price because I will have enough to last me until the next sale. The papers I purchase more than pay for themselves. I read the many blogs out there to see what's on sale this week They make it easy by telling you exactly what insert the coupon you need is in. Check My  blog list on the side panel to see some of my favorites to follow. It takes a bit of time to get the hang of it but stick with it and before you know it you'll be saving $$$$$$$$$.( I am working on getting better at posting sale scenarios for you to make it easy...)

Buy 6 bags of Hershey’s Drops 2/$5
Total = $15
Use 3 $2/2 coupons found in the 1/30 SS
Pay $9
Get back $15 in coupons!

Once you have these coupons, you can score the following deal on Coke Zero:
Buy 5 Coke Zero 12 packs on sale for $3.33 each
Total = $16.65
Use the $2/1 Coke Zero Walgreens coupon (will deduct $10)
Final cost ONLY $1.33 per 12 pack – $0.11 per can!! This is an Great price!
