As I said in an earlier post and/or you may have heard on the news Kroger has decided to discontinue the double/triple coupon policy in Houston and surrounding areas! If your checking this blog or many of the others that are out there, you are probably trying to save money with coupons as well! Kroger does have higher prices than other stores and double /triple coupons have been the main reason I shop there so often, with that being no more (starting on the 13 of April) they will only give face value which means there is no reason to be loyal to them any more! Couponers in the blogging community are trying to change their mind! You can help by writing or calling to let Kroger know that we are a significant part of their shopping demographic by contacting them and voicing your opinion!

Kroger ending Double /Triple Coupons Donations will take a hit!
I started Coupons4acause with the specific intent of donating free and cheap items to various charities in the Houston area... well Kroger has announced they will no longer be doubling /tripling coupons! Too bad, I guess I will have to do my coupon shopping elsewhere as everyone takes coupons at face value so there is no incentive to shop at Kroger any more! I will still search out free and cheap deals so that I can continue to donate, but I guess Kroger will not get much of my business anymore!I think I can find better prices elsewhere. So sad.. I know the whole couponing community is very unhappy about this change, I and many hope they will reconsider, but I guess we will have to wait and see. In the mean time I guess I will search out deals at the many other stores in the area!
Randall's Run..
Went to Randalls to take advantage of the frozen food coupons they have ( it ends tomorrow!) The Marie Calenders pot pies are on sale for 1.99 and some were 2.79
There is a coupon in this weeks flyer for $5 off if you spend $15 So I bought 5 @ $1.99 and two at $2.79 = 15.53 - $5 off $15 plus in the Randalls frozen food book the have $1.50 off Used 7 -10.50 So I ended up paying .53 cents for 7 pot pies! Had a gift card (spring cleaning pays sometimes!) to get the buy one get one free Turkey and the lemonade was only $1 a bottle No coupon for that! I hope the Pot Pies are good!

Walgeeens Run...
I have a lot of RR's to use up from last weeks Almay deal, so I ran to Walgreen's for some needed items and some treats! We were out of soda they are On sale 3/$11 not a great deal (CVS had a better deal) The trash bags are $2.99 each with coupon from sale flyer, Gain dish soap free + with coupon from P&G home mailer booklet ,Secret Clinical Trial Size was $2.99( this stuff is awesome!) There is a $2 coupon in the 2/27 P&G insert and if you spend $10 you get $3 RR's back, Whitman's Chocolate $4.99 less $1 in the walgreens coupon book ( near the flyers at the front of the store) and the snickers eggs are free with coupon from 3/20 rp. I used 25in RR's and paid $5.43 in cash :( ..but got back $3 rr so all this was $2.43! I'm not complaining!
CVS RUN...
Had $ $10.98 in extra bucks to use before they expired so I picked up some item that would allow me to get stuff and come out with more extra bucks! The Physicians Formula 
makeup was $5.99, the shave Gels was $3.49,( there is a coupon but I didn't have it with me) the snickers were free with Coupons from 3/20 rp and 4 diet welches juice clearance (not pictured) @ 45 cents each Used the $10.98 in ecb's So nothing oop and got back $7 for the makeup and $2.50 for the shave gel! So I am back with $9.50 in ecb's! Awesome!

Spring Cleaning time!
Sorry for the lack of posts on the weekends but we are in spring cleaning /organizing mode in our household!
